오늘 출시된 Lion(MAC OSX 10.7)을 USB로 옮기는 방법

스노우 레오파드 출시 후 2년 넘었나? 오늘 라이온이 정식 출시됐군요. 29.99달러에 맥앱스토어에서 다운 가능합니다. 동시에 올라온 소식에 의하면 8월 중 USB버전이 69달러에 나온다는 소식(http://www.businessinsider.com/mac-os-x-lion-usb-drive-2011-7). 그런데 40불씩이나 더 주고 사기엔 좀.... ^^;

그래서 트윗을 통해 정보 입수한 바로 아래와 같은 방법을 통해 간단히 USB로 리커버리 디스크를 만들 수 있습니다.

• Download Mac OS X Lion from the Mac App Store as usual. Once you have it, open a Finder window, locate the OS X installation file that you just downloaded, right click (or option-click) on it, and select “Show Package Contents.” (먼저 맥앱스토어에서 라이언 구입, 파인더 열어서 다운로드된 설치파일을 우클릭해서 패키지 보기를 누릅니다.)
• Within the contents of the package, you’ll see a “SharedSupport” folder. Open it. Inside that folder, you will find an image file called “InstallESD.dmg”. Copy this file to your desktop and mount it – this is the actual working image file that you can burn to a DVD, and clone to an SD card, USB thumb drive, or hard drive partition. (그 중 SharedSupport라는 폴더를 열고 그 안에 있는 InstallESD.dmg파일을 복사해서 데스크탑이던지 별도의 폴더에 카피합니다.)
• Now, simply launch Disk Utility (located in the Utilities folder within your Applications folder). To copy to an SD card, flash drive, or hard drive partition (Make sure your destination has at least 5GB free), just option-click the volume inside of InstallESD.DMG, select “set as source”, click the “restore” tab in Disk Utility, drag the volume you want to copy it to into the “destination” field in the “restore” tab, make sure you select “erase destination”, and then click the “restore” button.(응용프로그램 내 어플리케이션 폴더에 있는 디스크유틸리티를 실행해서 위에서 받은 dmg파일을 DVD, USB, SD카드와 같은 매체에 볼륨을 풀면 됩니다.)

dmg 파일을 볼륨해제하는 걸 모르시는 분은 별도로 구글링 해보시길. ^^(뭐 맥 유저라면 다 아실 듯, 특별히 어려운 거도 아니고 )
